Went through 48 hours of labor - they don’t call it labor for nothing!
But it was worth it!
Daddy was so proud.
... and Grandma too.
Yup, it’s a boy - but we knew that :)
Aleko’s first day in this world and already, he changed so many lives.
Aleko’s birthplace
Our home for many days, which seemed like months.
One of the many doors which connected L&D to Schneider’s ICU, where Aleko was taken the day after he was born.
He was poked and connected to so many devices.
...of course all for good reason.
We visited and nursed him as often as needed and wanted.
His bed for a few days.
He was given the pacifier at the N.I.C.U and learned to hold it in 1 day, at 2 days old.
What an ordeal during the process, but in retrospect, it only made us all stronger.
.... and Aleko made the best of it. He would not have gotten a pacifier from us had NICU not introduced it.
When we got home on early Christmas morning - 1:20 am, both grandmothers got their Christmas wish!
How cute!
Our Christmas miracle....
all wrapped up in this special package.
Christmas morning.
Just doing what he does best.
Uncle Jay came to visit
.... with cousin Christian
and Peter.
Blew a late birthday cake with co-birth date, Uncle Jay. They are the 22nds.
And these are the look-alikes!
Been busy so we only opened presents on Christmas night.
This, of course, is the best present everyone got!
